DETEKT Design is an international product design consultancy providing a high quality industrial design and mechanical engineering service to assist a huge variety of clients across the globe. Originally established in Australia, DETEKT operates from Asia, where its services focus on meeting the changing needs of product development created by the shift in manufacturing to Asia. DETEKT has offices in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, China and Taichung, Taiwan, all cities within two of the biggest manufacturing regions in the world and serviced by a highly skilled workforce.

DETEKT's international design team develop products for almost every industry sector, our high quality designs being most recognised in consumer electronics, electrical appliances, sports and leisure, healthcare, industrial products, auto accessories and patented innovations.

Right from our beginnings in 2003 DETEKT have made strong inroads into the global market with their groundbreaking product design and engineering service. We will continue to grow our strong international client base but still remain true to our vision – to provide world-class product design, intellectual property security, continuous process innovation and alignment to manufacturing in Asia.

Daniel Roney - Managing Director / Systems Manager

As the founding director of DETEKT in 2003,Daniel is the driving force behind its business development. Early in DETEKT's history, Daniel identified a strategic marker: That while much of the world comes to Asia for manufacturing, the availability of professional design and engineering services based in Asia are extremely limited. As a result, DETEKT's Taiwan office opened in 2005 and China office in 2006.

Max Liao - Product Design Director

Max hasover 15 years experience in the field of industrial design and product development. He graduated from industrial design at Tatung University in 1990.

Winkle Liu - DFM Manager

As manager of ‘design for manufacturing’, Winkle plays a key role at DETEKT. He brings his professional experience of manufacturing technology, leading our dedicated team in the China office.

Sebastian Bujnoch- Client Liaison Manager

Sebastian brings more than five years experience in Greater China to DETEKT. Sebastian is very familiar with working in Asia and enjoys the fast pace and energy of China. He speaks German, English, French and Mandarin.

Elena Balakhnova - Design Manager

After graduating in Literature and Art from the University of Moscow in 2002, Elena spent five years working as a designer in Moscow. Her experience there included working for BBDO and DDB, as well as leading the art direction for several productions.

Lee Chappell - Sales Coordinator

Lee brings more than 20 years experience in Customer Service Support. Lee has a passion for working with people from different cultural backgrounds and an active interest in understanding the challenges.
